Northern Rockies business improvement program open until July 31

Local businesses in the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality have until the end of the month to apply for funding aimed at improving storefronts and exterior spaces.

According to a Facebook post from the municipality, the 2026 Business Facade Improvement Program is still open for eligible businesses looking to upgrade the outside appearance of their properties.

The program offers up to 50 per cent of project costs, to a maximum of $5,000, for exterior improvements such as signage, awnings, lighting and accessibility upgrades.

It also covers work like facade enhancements, windows, patios, entrances, doorways, siding and other decorative features.

Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Projects must begin before July 31.

Businesses looking for more information can contact Regional Development and Planning at 250-774-2040 ext. 2040 or by email at CDPAdmin@northernrockies.ca.
