A Fort Nelson man was arrested in connection with the shooting at Fort Nelson First Nation earlier this month.
After receiving tips from the public, Northern Rockies RCMP said they arrested a suspect “identified in connection with the shots fired investigation from Jan. 19.”
“As a result of the information received, Northern Rockies RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Fort Nelson First Nation on Thursday, January 22,” explained Mounties. They said they are familiar with the man who was arrested.
The 28-year-old has since been released from custody. He is scheduled to appear in provincial court in April, according to the RCMP, who said no other information is available at the moment.
